Top 10 Favourite Drag Race Queens: #5 Eureka O'Hara

Continuing my Top 10 Queens from the first 10 seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race

#5:

Eureka O'Hara

Eureka O'Hara is a true powerhouse of a queen with many unique distinctions.  They are the first queen ever to be eliminated for medical reasons when they tore their ACL in episode 2 of season 9, although they competed on a damaged knee for three more episodes (including finishing the cheerleading challenge which had caused the injury with a drop into a front splits) only finally being eliminated when they could no longer walk without the aid of crutches.

Eureka returned the following season healed and ready to go.  After winning the Bossy Rossy challenge in episode 5 and then proportionizing their way to a win in episode 6's Drag-Con panel challenge they were the only season 10 queen to win consecutive challenges enroute to making the finale.  Both of those feats have not been duplicated by any queen returning after being eliminated, either within the same season (ala Carmen Carrera, Kenya Michaels, Trixie Mattel, Naysha Lopez) or in a later non-allstars season (Shangella, Cynthia Lee Fontain, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo).

In season 10 Eureka also earned a double shantay against their Team Tennessee sister Kameron Michaels in Episode 9 (Breastworld Challenge) and a double advance in the semi-finals against Aquaria, marking the first queen to ever earn two double saves in a season.  As well they have performed in more Rusicals than any other queen (Kardashian: The musical (S9E5), Pharmarusical (S10E2) and Cher: the Unauthorized Rusical ( S10E8).
